Tom Hartz

Tom Hartz is a self-taught artist in northeastern Pennsylvania.

He began oil painting nearly 30 years ago, but with work and a family, had to put his passion on hold for the right time in his life.  In 2011, Tom picked up the brushes again, and started mastering his skills in art.

The projects began with oil paintings as in years past, but then developed into other works, such as pencil drawings, and more recently, paintings of coal miners on slate stone.  Northeastern Pennsylvania is known for its coal mining history.

Tom showcases his art at various craft shows in the area, and he has donated several works of art to charitable organizations for auction.

Tom was featured in the Citizen's Voice newspaper in February 2019.  Read the news article!  From Culm To Canvas
